Find kindle paperwhite mac address how to#
Unfortunately, I haven't a clue as to where or how to fix it. I suspect it's a buried setting/flag in the Kindle and/or Windows which is causing this.

At this point, it's essentially bricked - it works locally, but there's no way to get content onto the device :( Really pissing me off as I live with the device But you can easily convert EPUB files to mobi, which the kindle does support, with the use of a piece of free software called Calibre. The display is flush, and the device is rated IPX8, meaning it can sit in 2 meters of water for two hours. For not much more, it opens up the joys of reading in the pool, at the beach, or in the tub without fear. I've attempted to reset device (to factory) several times, with no change in behavior. The Kindle Paperwhite (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is an upgrade worth considering. While resetting the PW today, I risked connecting through WiFi and it's not showing any updates available - I have firmwareĥ.9.7 (PW 6th 90D4) - even though I found a 5.11 version (somewhere). As I never have WiFi on, it could not have updated firmware automatically. I'm not convinced a firmware update caused it, either. I've also tried connecting it (with all cables) to a 2nd PC, with no luck. In general, if the cable being used will transfer data to another device, it will to the Kindle - and, therefor, is I was able to connect to the device about 6 weeks ago, the last time I updated content on the Paperwhite. A regular book has pages which are usually much larger than that. But I have basically three problems with it, which I would like to address: I feel that 6-inch screen is too small. But, I've tried 37 different cables (who knew I had so many damned cables laying around!) I even tried a USB-C with a Micro adaptor Windows The Kindle Paperwhite is OK, but not really great.

Then you will find Content Folder option, just click on Change to change the location of Kindle books on Mac. Run Kindle for Mac, Click on Kindle->Preference->General. If it worked before but isn't any longer, it's probably NOT the cable. Q: Can I change the location of Kindle books on Mac A: Sure, you can choose where to store your downloaded kindle books on Mac.
